Letter to donors

We are asking for your support in making our dream of a first class arts center come true. We envision having a theatre, an art gallery, classroom spaces for music, dance, and visual arts, a community room that can be rented out for seminars, community meetings or family reunions, and all of the other amenities to make this a special place for our community. We believe that the more we can offer, the more people will be drawn to our downtown area. The facility will provide activities that will appeal to newcomers to our area or those interested in locating in this area. We realize that this may be a time when everyone receives solicitations and you have to make choices. Why the arts? It is our belief that the arts improve self-confidence, independent thinking yet being able to understand teamwork and understanding the value of the ideas of others. With people of these skills many of the problems of the city, state, the United States and the world will benefit. All levels will have their name inscribed on appropriately colored plates attached to a “giving tree.” This tree will be on public display for all patrons to see. Names will be listed in all theatre programs and in a newspaper ad once yearly.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has approved a grant of $5,000 to equip an art studio. We are greatly appreciative to the Community Foundation for their help and support as we strive to provide a much needed outlet for students and adults in our area.

The Bridgestone/Firestone Trust Fund has donated $5,000 for a sign at the Manchester Arts Center. We give our special thanks to Bridgestone/Firestone for their support! We will advertise upcoming auditions, plays and events on our sign. We hope to have the sign underway very soon.
