1998
The gallery featured Dawn Whitlaw of Nashville. The theme of the show was Tribute to Southern Women. Whitlaw was an adjunct instructor of basic principles of oil painting at David Lipscomb. The show also included as many as a dozen items belonging to local Southern women which displayed a variety of arts including needle work and a quilt that was over 100 years old.
The Nashville Shakespeare Festival was brought to our county high school and to the MAC on Thursday, March 15. It was not one play, but rather an interactive workshop that involved audience participation.
We received a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission through Arts Builds Communities.
