TAG to Hold Game Night/Interest Meeting

A note from Karen Wainright:

On April 9 from 6:30 to 10:30 TAG will have Game Night. The cost to get in is $2 and snacks will be provided. Drinks will be available for purchase.

We will also be having an interest meeting and workshop to discuss "Les Miserables." Aaron Brooks and Selina Luc will be discussing music, characters, plot, etc. and hoping to get interest in producing this show this summer.

I hope you can be there.

Coffee House

TAG held its first Coffee House Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the new MAC. There were 20+ teens and 6 adults who enjoyed coffee from Starbucks and food from TAG members. Drinks were sold and food was free!

Music was played and there were games --everything from twister to video games. The adults enjoyed rook and other card games and everyone enjoyed the music, especially when the teens gathered around the boom box and harmonized. (The boom box was on the piano which no one would  admit to knowing how to play!)

We knew it was successful when some of the teens suggested that we have it every week. (OH,MY!!) Still others said how neat it was to have some place to "just hang out!"

THE FLIP SIDE

"The Flip Side," monologues which showed the trials and tribulations of being a teenager was performed on  March 5 and 6 at 7:00 P.M. and Sunday at 2:00 P.M. All tickets were $5.

If you are currently a teen, have a teen, rember how it feels to be a teen or worse, don't remember, then this was the show for you!

The teens did an outstanding job and if you missed them, it was your loss!

Next Coffee House

The teens are planning their next Coffee House and game night. Plans are to have a college freshman to play guitar and next a high school band.

In order to have your input on what you want, come and be a part of the TAG group. The next meeting is Sunday, March 28 at 2:00 P.M.
